Ghanaian midfielder, Mohammed Kudus shared a heartwarming moment with a young West Ham United fan after their game against Freiburg in the UEFA Europa League.

The Black Stars attacking midfielder netted his seventh goal of the campaign as the Hammers strolled to a 2-0 win at the London Olympic Stadium on Thursday evening.

Kudus opened the scoring after just 14 minutes following a clever bit of ball control from an Edson Alvarez pass before dummying the Freiburg goalkeeper to fire home.

Alvarez went from provider to scorer moments before half-time as West Ham finished at the top of Group A in the Europa League.

After the game, Kudus spotted one of his biggest supporters, popularly known on social media as 'Zac Hammer' and shared the moment with him.

"Thank you so much [Kudus], his dream has come true. Forever grateful," the fan's family wrote on social media.

In photos shared on X (formerly Twitter), Kudus gifted the young fan his jersey as they took selfies together.

The young Hammer has been backing the Ghanaian since he arrived in the summer transfer window, sharing messages on social media about the player before and after matches.

Kudus has now scored five goals in five Europa League games this season, increasing his tally across all competitions to seven, per Transfermarkt.

Kudus scores exquisite goal against Freiburg

Sports Brief also reported that Kudus continued his high-flying start to life at West Ham after netting his seventh goal of the season for the English side.

In the Europa League clash against Freiburg, the 23-year-old opened the scoring in the 14th minute to take an early lead at the London Olympic Stadium.

Sports Brief also previously reported that West Ham United manager, David Moyes has praised Kudus for adapting so quickly to the English Premier League.

The Ghana attacking midfielder is enjoying an impressive campaign so far after joining the Hammers in the summer transfer window from Dutch giants, Ajax.
