In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Kudus perfectly controlled a pass from Edson Alvarez before leaving the Freiburg goalie stuck in his post as he fired home.

Kudus has now scored three goals in the Europa League as West Ham United sit top of Group A.

The English club have sealed qualification to the next stage of the competition and will find out their opponents for the knockout phase in a draw to be held on January 18, 2023.

Meanwhile, the Hammers will miss the talented midfielder in January and February for the Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Ivory Coast.

Kudus is expected to star for the Black Stars as the West African nation chases a fifth Africa Cup of Nations title.

David Moyes worried over Kudus' absence ahead of AFCON 2023

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that West Ham United manager David Moyes has expressed disappointment over the impending absence of Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus and his African teammates for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Hammers will lose Kudus to Ghana, Nayef Aguerd to Morocco and Said Benrahma to Algeria in January and February next year.

The trio have been key to Moyes' team, playing a role in the comeback win over Tottenham Hotspurs last night in the English Premier League.

Kudus wins Goal of the Month award

Sports Brief also reported that Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has won West Ham's Goal of the Month for November.

The 23-year-old's scissor-kick goal against Brentford won the goal of the month, making it the second in a row for the former Ajax star.

Kudus' first Premier League goal, which was against Newcastle United was adjudged the best for October.
