The English Premier League, just like other major leagues in Europe, will suffer some interruption early next year when some of its top players depart for the Africa Cup of Nations and the Asian Cup.
The two tournaments will kick off and end at almost similar times. The former will be held in the Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11, while the Asiac Cup will be staged in Qatar from January 12 to February 10.
Managers will have to come up with new ways to sustain their different objectives when their stars leave. Sports Brief had previously elucidated which players each Premier League team will likely lose should they be called up.

Gary O'Neill will have to rethink his attack on with Hwang Hee-chan a sure bet to make it into Jurgen Klinsmann's squad.
