Cristiano Ronaldo has made a plea to Al-Nassr regarding the extension of his current contract with them until 2027.

The 38-year-old forward became the highest-paid footballer in the world after he signed a lucrative two-and-a-half-year deal with the Saudi Pro League giants in January, estimated to be worth £177 million per year.

According to Sportskeeda, Ronaldo reportedly plans on extending his contract with Al-Nassr for another two years, as his present deal with the Knights of Najd is set to expire in 2025.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who has netted 20 goals and registered 10 assists in 22 appearances across all competitions, wants to keep playing until the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Al-Nassr are set to make an official announcement very soon to confirm the request made by Ronaldo, who has seen his career rejuvenated again since moving to Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo invests $40m in development of video game

Meanwhile, Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo joins a group of investors who have committed more than $40 million into the development of UFL, a new free-to-play soccer video game, Sportico reports.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who will help shape the game’s development with his financial contribution, disclosed he was excited to be part of the project, which aims to be the new breed in football gaming in the next few years.

No official release date has been announced for UFL, but the company, Strikerz Incorporated owned by parent XTEN Limited, said the testing phase will start in autumn.

De Bruyne prefers Ronaldo as GOAT

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Manchester City playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne has chosen the GOAT and who he would prefer to play with between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo and Messi are regarded as two of the greatest footballers ever and are in the eternal argument about which is the greatest.

The pair has won multiple titles and individual honours across their illustrious careers, including an incredible 13 Ballon d'Or awards between them.
