Manchester United are likely to be without as many as 13 players ahead of their Liverpool cracker on Sunday, December 17.
The Red Devils suffered a double defensive injury blow during their Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
According to The Mirror, United lost Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw in the first half of the crucial European encounter.
Maguire is understood to have pulled up with a groin problem and had to be replaced by Jonny Evans. On his part, Shaw suffered a hamstring strain in the closing stages of the first half, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka slotting in for him.

Maguire and Shaw now join a long list of injured players ahead of United's meeting with Liverpool.
The Express UK reports that defenders Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, and Tyrell Malacia are all sidelined, while midfielders Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Mason Mount, and Amad Diallo remain out.
The duo of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial missed the Bayern Munich tie due to illness, while Jadon Sancho is yet to be reintegrated into the squad over disciplinary issues.
Meanwhile, captain Bruno Fernandes will not be involved in the Anfield trip as he is currently suspended.
The Portuguese will serve a one-game suspension at Anfield after receiving his fifth yellow card of the Premier League season during Saturday's 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth.
United are currently placed sixth in the Premier League standings with 27 points, three points off the top four. The Old Trafford outfit has lost seven of the 16 EPL games they have played so far.
