FootballKardashian Curse: Fans React After Man United Post About Celebrity Ahead of Bayern Munich Clash
- Kim Kardashian was spotted wearing a Manchester United cap ahead of their decisive UCL game
- The American celebrity has often been accused of bringing bad luck to teams she associates with
- Manchester United play Bayern Munich with their Champions League hopes hanging by a thread
Football fans have reacted sharply to Manchester United's Instagram account posting a picture of socialite and businesswoman, Kim Kardashian.
The American star has always been dogged by claims of bringing bad luck to teams she associates with. The theory started when it was claimed the men Kim and her younger sister, Khloe had dated suffered falls from grace.
What is the Kardashian curse?
The two denied the claims, terming it as 'super sexist', but that hasn't stopped the claims from spreading in football. Last season, as Marca aptly captured it, Kardashian attended Arsenal's Europa League game against Sporting Lisbon, where the Gunners were the favourites.
The Portuguese side, however, surprisingly knocked out Mikel Arteta's men. A few days later, she attended a Paris Saint-Germain match against Rennes, where the French champions were humbled 2-0 in their home ground.
The other recent example came in the form of AS Roma losing the Europa League final to serial winners, Sevilla, a few weeks after the 42-year-old had donned the Giallarossi shirt.
The rumours will be under scrutiny again when Bayern Munich visit Old Trafford on December 12. The German champions have already qualified but need to bounce back after a 5-1 humbling at Eintracht Frankfurt over the weekend.
Fans reactions to 'Kardashian curse'
Meanwhile, the Red Devils need nothing short of a win to boost their qualification hopes. Erik ten Hag's men will also need the other game pitting Galatasary and Copenhagen to end in a draw, not a win for either side.
"Kim Kardashian wearing a Man United hat hours before their crucial Champions League game against Bayern… yep, it’s over," posted Odds Bible.

Well, will the Kardashian curse strike at Old Trafford?
Tuchel's warning to Manchester United
Sports Brief also previously reported on Thomas Tuchel firing a Champions League warning to Man United ahead of their meeting at Old Trafford.
While Bayern have already booked their spot in the next round, the coach has warned United that his side will still be aiming for maximum points.
