However, Mourinho's charges could only salvage one point at home in a chaotic encounter that saw four red cards shown by the match official.

Goal reports that Lukaku needed just five minutes fromo the kick-off to open the scoring for the hosts before Lucas Martinez Quarta cancelled it out in the second half.

Lukaku, Mourinho shown red cards

According to Daily Star, Lukaku - who is at Roma on loan from Chelsea - found himself at the centre of chaotic scenes that rocked the Sunday match.

Mourinho's squad was reduced to 10 men in the 64th minute when Nicola Zalewski was sent off before Fiorentina equalised two minutes later.

Things went from bad to worse for the home side in the closing stages of the tie when Lukaku was sent off for a leg-breaker tackle.

Mourinho was handed his marching orders shortly after for protesting the decision.

A fourth red card was shown to Fiorentina's Nikola Milenkovic. However, his red card had little impact on the game as he was an unused substitute.

Meanwhile, the draw in the match was enough to cement Roma's place in the top four.

Mourinho hits back at Papu Gomez

Sports Brief previously reported on Mourinho’s clap back at Papu Gomez after Roma's win over Monza, which the winger missed as he faces a two-year ban after a positive doping test.

The Argentine claimed his only memory of the Special One was beating him in the Europa League final last season with Sevilla, with the Special One firing back with his trademark wit.
