  • Manchester City won their first match in the last five minutes after a 2-1 win over Luton Town
  • The win coincided with the return of Spanish midfielder Rodri from suspension
  • Pep Guardiola created a scene at halftime and got Arsenal fans fuming all over again

Arsenal fans could not let the claims that there’s an agenda against them go quickly after Pep Guardiola got away with ‘disrespect’ towards a match official during Manchester City’s win over Luton Town.

City had gone on a four-game winless run and needed nothing but a win against the spirited newly promoted side.

Guardiola was without Erling Haaland, claiming the Norwegian striker was suffering from bone stress and could not play but should not be out for long.

Things appeared to be heading for another bad day when Luton went into halftime in the lead after Elijah Adebayo gave them the lead in the additional minutes of the first half.

Guardiola confronts official at halftime

The Spanish boss was already feeling agitated after the halftime whistle blew. As seen in an image shared on social media, he confronted the fourth official, pointing a finger in his face.

This prompted an outcry from Arsenal fans on social media after their manager Mikel Arteta was yellow-carded for less, forcing him to sit out their 1-0 loss to Aston Villa.

The Gunners boss has been at loggerheads with match officials and PGMOL this season, and per BBC Sports, he was charged by the FA after his explosive rant in the aftermath of Arsenal’s controversial 1-0 loss to Newcastle.

Guardiola’s men rallied for a win after two goals in two minutes from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish in the second half to relieve the team's pressure ahead of their UEFA Champions League’s final group game against Red Star Belgrade.

Guardiola confronts referee

Sports Brief reported that Guardiola confronted referee Chris Kavanaugh after Manchester City's elimination from the Carabao Cup by Newcastle United.

He registered his displeasure with the official over his game management after his opponent got away with many kicks and fouls in the second half, which only resulted in two yellow cards.
