FootballWhy Jude Bellingham Could Undergo Surgery to Fix Shoulder Problem
- Carlo Ancelotti says Jude Bellingham might undergo surgery soon
- The England midfielder is currently sidelined with a shoulder problem
- Bellingham has scored 15 goals in 16 appearances for Real Madrid this season
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti feels surgery cannot be ruled out if Jude Bellingham’s shoulder issues flare up, which could rule him out for a significant part of the season.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who is enjoying a fantastic campaign in his first season with Los Blancos, suffered a dislocated shoulder prior to the international break in November and is yet to fully recover.
According to Sky Sports, Ancelotti fears surgery might be an option Bellingham will need to undergo to fix the midfielder’s shoulder problems permanently if they come up again.
"Not right now. The shoulder is very particular. If it happens again or keeps happening, maybe, but we will see." Ancelotti answered when pressed on Bellingham’s shoulder problems.
"The shoulder is something he has to look after to strengthen it on his own. He hasn't had any problem to play, and every day that goes by, he is improving in that sense."
Bellingham has risen to become one of Real Madrid’s star players in just his first season, scoring 15 goals in his first 16 appearances for Los Blancos since his summer transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
Meaning behind Jude Bellingham’s celebration
Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham has admitted he had no idea where his iconic goal celebration comes from but admitted he has been celebrating his goals in that manner from his Birmingham days, Talk Sport reports.
After a goal, the 20-year-old midfielder’s trademark gesture sees him stand with his arms stretched wide apart, drinking in the cheers from the crowd, a celebration that has now gained worldwide appreciation.
From Cristiano Ronaldo's 'SIU' to Lionel Messi's point to the sky, unique celebrations are becoming key to building a superstar, and Bellingham already has a unique one that his fellow players are copying.
