Super Eagles of Nigeria coach Jose Peseiro was spotted at one of the Premier Soccer League side's training on Friday, December 8.
The former FC Porto manager is currently under fire due to the Super Eagles' poor performance in their last two games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
The Portuguese manager guided Nigeria to qualification for the 2023 AFCON which would be in Ivory Coast.
According to a report by FARPost, the former Real Madrid assistant was spotted at Chippa United's training session and was given the honour of addressing the players after the morning drills.
Reports from FARPost club source claimed that the Nigerian national team coach had initially communicated his visit to the club and acknowledged that he has been watching the Chilli Boys and was impressed with their style of play.
"He took some time just to motivate the team. Before his visit, he communicated with the team and was invited to our training session. When addressing the players, he said he had been watching Chippa for a while and was impressed by how the team plays," a club source said according to FARPost.
It was also reported that Peseiro's reason for visiting Chippa United's training session was to see Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili.
