Trent Alexander-Arnold caused a stir during Liverpool's Premier League clash against Sheffield United after he had his behind exposed while taking a corner.

Alexander-Arnold was part of the Reds' squad that silenced the Blades 2-0 during the Wednesday night tie played at Bramall Lane.

According to BBC, Virgil van Dijk scored the opener in the 37th minute of the encounter before Dominik Szoboszlai doubled the lead at stoppage time.

Alexander-Arnold was responsible for Van Dijk's opener, with the Englishman setting up the centre-back with a brilliant set-piece.

However, it came at a price for Alexander-Arnold, who suffered a wardrobe malfunction as he prepared to take the corner.

The fullback was spotted adjusting his shorts before he swung in the corner, only for him to leave his backside exposed.

Fans were quick to pick out the briefly embarrassing incident and took to social media to react to it.

Meanwhile, Liverpool's crucial win over Sheffield United helped them mount more pressure on leaders Arsenal.

Jurgen Klopp's charges remain second in the standings with 34 points, two points behind the Gunners.

The Mersyseiders are scheduled to play Crystal Palace in their next Premier League outing set for Saturday, December 9.

Pep clashes with Liverpool star

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Manchester City's 1-1 draw against Liverpool having a tempered ending as striker Darwin Nunez and manager Pep Guardiola confronted each other in a heated argument.

As picked up by Optus Sport cameras, the Liverpool ace confronted Guardiola, and the two hurled words at each other.

City and the Reds battled it out at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League's first game after the international break, and the points were shared between the two sides.
