Ghana defender Alidu Seidu has opened up on his admiration for former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Sergio Ramos.
The Clermont Foot player played against the World Cup winner during his time in Ligue 1.
According to Seidu, it was a memorable moment in his career, facing the man he idolised while growing up.
“When I was little, I really liked Sergio Ramos. He’s a player who goes into duels, fights, and is always there,” Seidu shared in an interview with Ligue 1, as quoted by 3 Sports.
Ramos won several titles with Real Madrid and PSG before returning to Spain to rejoin Sevilla.
Despite his successes in football, the 37-year-old remains the footballer with the most red cards.
“In good times, he’s there, in difficult times, he’s there. He always gives his all. It’s true, he gets a lot of red cards, but he’s a player who never gives up. When I had the chance to play against him in Ligue 1 Uber Eats, it was a dream come true," added Seidu.
The Ghana defender is enjoying a decent campaign in the French league, having made 11 appearances already this season, per Transfermarkt.
