Al Hilal Star Ali Al Bulayhi to Be Suspended After Red Card vs Al Nassr

The first Riyadh Derby of the 2023/24 season was one for the books. It had everything from drama to entertainment.

Al-Hilal comfortably beat Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr 3-0, but the match was full of controversy.

Al-Hilal player Ali Al Bulayhi had an altercation with the Al-Nassr superstar, confronted Ronaldo during the match and received a red card late in the game.

Sergei Milinkovic-Savic and a late brace from Aleksandar Mitrovic gave the league leaders their 13th win of the season from 15 Saudi Pro League games.

They remain unbeaten in all competitions this season and are looking to win their first SPL title since the 2021/22 season.

Ronaldo tasted defeat for the first time since August and couldn't extend his lead on top of the goalscoring charts.

The defeat leaves Al-Nassr second with 34 points, seven behind leaders Al-Hilal.

Ali Al Bulayhi in trouble?

The veteran defender, who also clashed with Lionel Messi during the 2022 World Cup, confronted Ronaldo last Friday and also had a few words for Alex Telles.

He was shown a straight red card for provoking the fans, per Al Riyadiya via Essentially Sports. He will, therefore, be suspended for Al-Hilal's clash with Al Tai on Friday, December 8.

Al Bulayhi was not scared to confront Ronaldo, and although he will miss the game, he has the bragging rights until the two rivals meet again.
