- The young English superstar recently received the 2023 Golden Boy Award
- Bellingham has named three youngsters who could win the award next year
Jude Bellingham has identified young football talents he believes are poised to contend for the Golden Boy Award in upcoming years.
The Real Madrid midfielder, recognised for his stellar 2023 performance, shared insights as to his potential successors during the award ceremony.
The winner of the Golden Boy Award is determined by sports journalists, with nominees eligible if they are under 21 and play in a top-tier European league.
Past winners include Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, and Bellingham is the 21st player to receive this honour since its inception in 2003, when it was first awarded to Rafael van der Vaart.
In an interview with Tuttosport, the organisers of the award, the Englishman was questioned about potential winners for the 2024 edition and began by mentioning his club teammate.
"I'll mention three names," he stated via GiveMeSport. "First of all, Arda Guler is a phenomenon, we see him training and we are delighted with him.
"Then my former teammate Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, from Borussia Dortmund. And finally, my brother Jobe, a thoroughbred striker like our father."
Who is Jobe Bellingham?
Bellingham's brother, Jobe is actively engaged in professional football, representing Sunderland in the Championship, rendering him ineligible for consideration for the Golden Boy award.
However, being only 18 years old, the Real Madrid star envisions his sibling becoming a potential contender for the award in the future, especially if he advances to playing in the Premier League.
Jude added: "If Sunderland were to be promoted to the Premier League, watch out for him!"
