Erling Haaland was at the centre of a controversy that marked the Manchester City versus Tottenham Hotspur Premier League cracker on Sunday evening.
City were hoping to return to winning ways in the EPL when they hosted the North Londoners at the Etihad Stadium, having dropped points against Liverpool in their last outing.
However, this was not the case, with the reigning champions settling for yet another draw with Tottenham, who scored the equaliser in the 90th minute.
According to the BBC, Son Heung-Min opened the scoring for Spurs in the sixth minute, only to direct the ball into his own net three minutes later to help City equalise.
Jack Grealish thought he had won it for the hosts with nine minutes left on the clock, but Spurs went on to restore parity through Dejan Kulusevski at stoppage time.
Haaland turned into memes after clashing with referee
The closing stages of the match saw Haaland clash with referee, Simon Hooper on the pitch before he later took to social media to slam the match official.
Sky Sports reports that the ugly incident was sparked by Hooper's decision to initially wave play on after Haaland was fouled before awarding a free kick with Grealish already through on goal.
The decision left the City camp raging, with Haaland confronting Hooper before he stormed off the pitch immediately after the full-time whistle.
The forward's antics have seen him turned into an instant internet meme, with fans taking to social media to mock him.
One of the memes showed the Man City ace as Taylor Armstrong from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with another having him as a cartoon cat Tom from Tom and Jerry.
