Barcelona left-back, Alejandro Balde was reportedly angry at not playing a single minute in his team's narrow 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid in La Liga.

Xavi decided to go with the experienced Joao Cancelo in the left-back spot since it was a huge game. This means centre-back, Jules Koude started at left back while Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen started at centre-back.

According to journalist, Gerard Romero via Barca Universal, Balde was not happy after warming up for a long time and never coming on as a substitute to play. He then went straight to the dressing room after the final whistle.

The youngster has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season for Barcelona and has started 13 of those games. He was left on the bench in two games, both in La Liga, per Transfermarkt.

Many Barcelona fans consider Balde as the successor to Jordi Alba, who left the club a few years ago.

Barcelona fans react to Balde's unhappiness

Many Barcelona fans were not happy with the report that Balde was unhappy after the Atletico match. Here are some of their reactions.

@wilsoncoker9:

"He should use this as a motivation to step up."

@bright___r:

"He can’t play every match! Your time will come buddy."

@Elmi218:

"He has to prove that he is good enough to start."

@BusiProp:

"This is actually good for him whether he likes it or not. He's only 19 and playing too many games at this age can only hurt you. And he's already played so many games last season and this season. We don't want to make the same mistakes like we did with pedri and gavi."

@splufic_dice:

"The hype is still on him we can still get 70m off him."
