Jude Bellingham has become an influential figure in the Real Madrid dressing room after only a few months at the La Liga club, with Brahim Diaz being the next player to hail the midfielder’s influence.
The 20-year-old midfielder has become a sensation among the club’s players and supporters, with many emulating his goal celebration style and also his manner of dressing before a game.
According to Four Four Two, Diaz played in Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory against Granada on with ripped socks, copying a technique adopted by Bellingham which supposedly relieves pressure on the calf muscles.
"My calves had gone up in the last few matches and I didn't know why. Bellingham runs for 90 minutes and he's fine, so I said 'I have to do something'. So I cut them because of him." Diaz told reporters after the game
Diaz scored Real Madrid’s opening goal as Carlo Ancelotti’s men strolled to a comfortable 2-0 victory to keep their La Liga title hopes alive.
Bale impressed by Bellingham’s impact
Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham’s influence at Real Madrid has not gone unnoticed as Gareth Bale is the latest figure to hail the 20-year-old Englishman for his impact on the Spanish club, Daily Mirror reports.
Bale however warned the Three Lions midfielder he must "play the game" and "be a puppet" at Los Blancos if he wants to avoid being criticised following his own experience at Santiago Bernabeu.
Bellingham has begun life at Real Madrid impressively, whilst Bale's time there ended with a whimper, seeing him exiled to the bench in his final season and castigated by the media and supporters.
