  • Victor Osimhen has made a decision on Napoli amid interest from EPL sides
  • The Super Eagles superstar is yet to sign a new deal with the Serie A giants
  • The Nigerian international has 18 months left in his current contract in Italy

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen is reportedly firm on his future with Napoli amid consistently rejecting contract extensions from the Italian side and amid growing interest from the Premier League.

The Nigerian international has been one of the top players in Europe since last season when he led the Neapolitans to their first league title in 33 years.

The former Lille striker has been linked with a move away from the Parthenopeans, and his current contract with the club will end in the summer of 2025.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that his sources claim that Osimhen is keen on leaving Napoli, according to a report by Brila.

"For Victor Osimhen, it is essential to clarify, as I have always mentioned since September. There is no agreement between Napoli and the Nigerian international," Romano stated.

Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis remains confident that the Super Eagles star would not be sold in the summer amid interest from Premier League sides Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

However, Romano has insisted that the Nigerian will not renew a deal with Napoli despite the club's president's stance of not selling.

"He is only contracted until June 2025, and my sources are quite clear [that] Osimhen is not inclined to sign a new contract with Napoli," he added.
"That is the current status as of today. Football is unpredictable, but the current stance appears firm, Osimhen won't be renewing there."

Osimhen and Bellingham share friendly tap

Sports Brief also reported on Osimhen sharing a friendly tap with Jude Bellingham during the UEFA Champions League clash between Real Madrid and Napoli.

The Nigerian striker could not help the Italian champions to victory over the Spanish giants at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium as they lost 4-2 away from home.

Osimhen started the game on the bench after returning to the team from injury, with the Serie A champions remaining in second in their Champions League group.
