It’s hard to keep Karim Benzema out of the headlines.
The former Real Madrid striker may have moved to the Saudi Pro League, but not much has changed.
Benzema was renowned for his form in front of goal for Los Blancos but also suffered numerous injuries during his time at the club.
That has happened again, this time at Al-Ittihad, as the French striker dominated headlines during the side’s recent game against Al-Khaleej.
Benzema’s team won the game 4-2, with the attacker notching up an assist for the first goal before converting a penalty for the side’s second.
As noted by Arab News, Benzema was substituted before the half-time break, with the player seen limping off the pitch.
There is no update yet on his injury, but Al-Ittihad will be hoping that he is back in time for their FIFA Club World Cup fixture in two weeks.
Benzema’s Saudi Arabian experience
Since moving from the Spanish side, Benzema has continued his fine form for the Saudi side.
