Chelsea star N'Golo Kante has been awarded the 2016-17 Football Writers' Player of the Year.
The France international had 65% of the votes to edge his teammate Hazard and 15 other players to the award.

He said: "It is a fantastic honour to win this award. With so many great players in this Chelsea squad and in the Premier League, for the Football Writers' Association to name me their Footballer of the Year is a very proud moment in my care."
Recall that his former teammate at Leicester City Jamie Vardy won the award last season.
The French midfielder has been instrumental to Chelsea's campaign this season after moving from Leciester City in the summer.

The 25-year-old has already been awarded the PFA Player of the Year award this season and was included in the PFA Team of the Year for the second season in a row.
The Blues signed the France international last summer for £32 million which now looks like an abosolute bargain.
