- Rulani Mokwena has addressed rumours of Khuliso Mudau leaving his team
- The Mamelodi Sundowns star is reportedly linked with a move to an EPL side
- Mudau is currently one of the best players in Mokwena's squad this season
Mamelodi Sundowns manager, Rulani Mokwena has reacted to rumours linking South African defender, Khuliso Mudau with a move to the English Premier League.
Mudau is rated as one of the best defenders in the DStv Premiership due to his consistent performances for the mighty Brazilians.
The Bafana Bafana star was named the best defender in the Premier Soccer League last season and has continued in the same vein this campaign.
The 28-year-old's performance for Mamelodi Sundowns and the South African men's national team has caught the attention of EPL side Burnley, according to a report by iDiskiTimes.
The newly promoted side are said to be interested in bringing the Bafana Bafana defender to England in the next transfer window.
After the game against Supersport United, Mokwena responded to the transfer links between his player and the Clarets.
"It is a very difficult question you ask me because the [Mamelodi] Sundowns coach [in me] is saying 'Sailor is going nowhere'," he said.
As Sundowns coach, Mokwena described himself as 'selfish' as the club needed its best players.
"And we are not a selling club, and that is very clear. But the human being understands that life is about growth and there are targets. But I cannot entertain it at the moment because it is just talk, there is nothing on the table at the moment," he added.
