After scoring 33 goals in his debut season for the side, the Polish striker has found it a bit more difficult to reach similar heights.

Transfermarkt notes that the former Bayern Munich star has scored just eight goals in 16 games in all competitions for the Spanish side so far this season.

With Lewandowski going through his worst form in front of goal in 12 years, fans of the club have had enough of the player, with some even suggesting that he leave.

Despite the fan unhappiness with the striker, Xavi has placed his faith in him.

Supporters of the club aren’t thrilled and have voiced their relief that Victor Roque will be joining the club soon, as he could replace Lewandowski in the starting lineup.

Here's what fans have had to say about the striker:

@Jiji_Byte commented:

"I say January we sell Lewandowski to the Saudi's who have been after him for 80mil and use the money to go after Zubimendi. We sell January or lose him for free when his contract expires this June."

@FCBAlbiceleste stated:

"When Vitor Roque comes, Lewandowski will be permanently benched if he continues like this. 😮"

@EliLeezayy added:

"Can’t wait for Vitor Roque’s arrival man, Lewandowski is more finished than I thought."

@PolySarkcess said:

"Please ship Lewandowski to Saudi Arabia because the guy is finished."

@breathMessi23 also quipped:

"Barcelona qualifying to Champions League knockout stage doesn't distract you from the fact that Lewandowski is finished."

Robert Lewandowski suffering goal drought

Robert Lewandowski’s poor run in front of goal is gradually becoming an issue for Barcelona supporters, Sports Brief reported.

The 2022/23 La Liga top scorer continues to struggle this season, suffering worst goal-scoring drought of his career in 12 years.

The last time Lewandowski struggled for goals so badly was from December 2010 to February 2011 with Borussia Dortmund.
