That was certainly the case before Paris Saint-Germain’s game against Newcastle in the UEFA Champions League.

Ahead of the game, fans could be seen enjoying his hit track, Fall, dancing along to the beat, and even singing some of the lyrics.

The track, released in 2019, also relates to football in some way as it contains the lyrics, 'Cause, my guys call me Cristiano, Mr. Ronaldo.’

Incredibly catchy, it got the Parisians in the mood as they prepared for their game against the English Premier League side. If you haven’t heard the track, you can watch it below.

While not a new song, its popularity among fans is further proof of why Davido is one of Africa's most successful artists. He has won numerous awards over the years and received three nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards.

As noted by Africa News, Davido has been nominated for the Best Global Album, Best African Performance and Best Global Music Performance.

Davido trolls Manchester United fans

Nigerian artist Davido has trolled Manchester United fans after the club’s poor performance against FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League.

The Red Devils blew away a two-goal lead as they eventually lost 4-3 to the hard-fighting Danish club, Sports Brief earlier reported.

While United fans were dealing with the embarrassment of losing the game, Davido seemed to have added salt to their fresh wounds.

Davido weighs in on GOAT debate

David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has waded into the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) debate between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Messi and Ronaldo have been the two best players in the world for the past 15 years, with both players' fans arguing over their GOAT status.

The Afrobeats superstar, who is a huge football fan, shared his thoughts on who the better player is and why, Sports Brief previously reported.
