FootballArturo Vidal Takes Issue With Alejandro Garnacho’s Celebration After Spectacular Overhead Kick
- Arturo Vidal is one of many footballers who loved Alejandro Garnacho's stunning goal
- The former Barcelona man was not impressed with his celebration
- He didn't like the 'Siuuu' celebration Garnacho chose to use
Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has been getting rave reviews after scoring a sensational overhead kick in their 3-0 victory over Everton in the Premier League on Sunday, November 26.
After scoring the stunning goal, Garnacho pulled out Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic 'Siuuu' celebration.
Former Barcelona and Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal was not impressed with the celebration.
Garnacho scored his Puskas-worthy goal just three minutes into the contest, and to be fair, the post-match discussion was about the goal. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial scored the other two goals, per 90min.
Some compared it to Roanldo's overhead kick against Juventus and Wayne Rooney's incredible overhead kick in the Manchester Derby in 2011.
Several players like Vinicius Junior and Rodygo Goes congratulated the youngster. His Instagram post of the goal received over four million likes and nearly eighty thousand comments.
Arturo Vidal on Garnacho's goal
Speaking on Twitch, the Chilean midfielder criticized Garnacho for copying Ronaldo's celebration.
“The only bad thing or what I didn’t understand is why he celebrates like Cristiano? He has to make his own name. He is an already great player. It’s good that he is his idol, respect for that, but then he has to make his name," via Football 365.
He did say that it was a great goal, though.
“How are you going to celebrate a goal and remember it? I don’t know, celebrate it another way. But it was a great goal, it was a great goal."
Garnacho's goal is definitely one of the greatest goals in Premier League history. Moreover, the 19-year-old has never hidden his admiration for Ronaldo despite playing with Lionel Messi on international duty with Argentina.
