Nigerian comedian, Bowoto Jephthah Oluwatiseyifumi Tanimola - popularly known as Akporo - was spotted playing for his locally-owned team in the lower division league.

The funnyman shares a 'striking' resemblance with Brazil international and Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Junior.

Akpororo has now ventured into the same trade as his apparent doppelganger but it's a little different from the Brazilian as the comedian owned the club he plays for.

According to a report by The News Chronicle, Akpororo captained his team, Roro FC to a 1-1 draw against Krane FC in the Nigerian third division (NLO).

Akpororo is the owner of the third-tier team and decided to feature for his side in the NLO Cup.

Roro FC scored the first goal of the game after 25 minutes of play, through Awhana Silas courtesy of a wonderful build-up play from the comedian.

Akpororo's side failed to hold on to the lead as they conceded in the 65th minute to end the game in a stalemate.

The news about the comedian representing his locally owned team stirred a lot of reactions on social media.

Nigerians demand sacking of Peseiro as coach

Sports Brief previously reported on Nigerian fans called on the sacking of Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro following their draw with Lesotho in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
