Brazilian-born star Lucas Ribeiro has been impressive since moving to South African side Mamelodi Sundowns during the summer.
The 25-year-old arrived at the Premier Soccer League side in July and has netted three goals in five league matches for the club.
The midfielder has disclosed that he had to search about the club on the internet before making a decision to move to the South African outfit.
During his first presser with the club, Ribeiro admitted that he knew just a little about the Brazilians.
In no time, he is already the fans’ favourite following his outstanding performances in the league, MTN8, CAF Champions League, and the African Football League (AFL).
However, his blistering start was disrupted by injury as he only returned to the squad for the AFL final against Wydad Casablanca.
Ribeiro said, as per Times Live:
“I didn’t know much about Sundowns when they first approached me.
“But after I did a search on them and the country, I realised it was a good club with big ambitions to win things and that was part of what I was looking for.
“After my search on the club, I managed to have a Zoom meeting with the coach [Rulani Mokwena] and we discussed tactics, style of play, and he also further explained the ambitions of the club."
