  • Hertha Berlin manager Pal Dardai has reportedly asked Myziane Maolida to leave the club
  • The Comoros winger has struggled since joining the club in the summer transfer window
  • However, Maolida scored the only goal as Comoros beat Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers

Hertha Berlin manager, Pal Dardai wants Comoros forward, Myziane Maolida to leave the club over unsatisfactory performance and a 'lazy attitude'.

Maolida was Comoros' hero in the game against Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers and played a key role in the victory over the Central African Republic.

The French-born forward's performances in the qualifying series have seen the island nation finish the October international break top of Group I.

However, Maolida is yet to convince the Hertha Berlin coach, who described him as 'one of the laziest players' he had encountered.

"We haven't forgotten about him. But he should find a club where he can play and leave us as quickly as possible. He had many chances; I've seen few players in my life as lazy as him," Dardai said in a pre-match presser ahead of the game against Hanover 96.

Maolida has scored two goals in two international games during the break.

Meanwhile, his agent, Phillipe Lamboley, has hit back at Hertha Berlin's manager for failing to bring the best in the player.

"I understand that Mr Dárdai is offended that a player like Myziane, whom he has not used since the beginning of the season and whom he dropped, has played in international games at a high level and acted as a centre forward - something that Mr Dárdai, who works hard, never noticed," the agent said, as quoted by Get Football News France.

Comoros will return to action for the World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Chad in June next year.

Maolida scores winner as Comoros beat Ghana

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Comoros beating Ghana a second time after a 1-0 victory in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Moroni on Tuesday.

Myziane Maolida's first-half strike was enough as the African island nation recorded an important win against the four-time continental champions.

The Black Stars started the game brightly, with Inaki Williams finding Antoine Semenyo upfront. The Bournemouth forward missed that chance.
