According to GOAL, Mourinho's existing contract with Roma concludes at the season's end, and reports suggest he turned down a lucrative offer to join the Saudi Pro League in the previous summer.
While talks of him returning to Spain for Ancelotti's position surface, Mourinho appears to believe that Madrid already has the right leader in place.

Some admire the record-breaking La Liga win, disrupting Pep Guardiola's Barcelona, and reaching three UEFA Champions League semi-finals, exorcising past demons in the round of 16.
However, his departure was marred by controversies, making those three years incredibly eventful and polarizing for many.
Currently, Mourinho's Roma holds the seventh spot in Serie A, trailing three points behind the Champions League spots. Their upcoming match is against Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico on November 26 in the Italian Serie A.
