FootballManchester City Aim Dig at Manchester United After Successive Derby Wins This Season
- Manchester City mocked Manchester United following their recent wins at Old Trafford
- Both the men's and women's teams have picked up impressive wins at the rival's ground this season
- The post centred around the knee slide celebration that the City players did at the Theatre of Dreams
Manchester City's social media admin has taken a swipe at Manchester United following impressive results of both men's and women's teams at Old Trafford this season.
The women's team beat United Women 3-1 on November 19 despite the hosts taking the lead through a Katie Zelem penalty.
Gareth Taylor's side mounted an impressive comeback, with goals from Jill Roord, Lauren Hemp and Khadija Shaw doing the trick.
On October 29, the men's team beat the Red Devils 3-0, with Erling Haaland starring with a brace and assist to Phil Foden.
What Manchester City's admin did
City's social media admin took to X(formerly Twitter) to rub in the number of times that their players had done the knee slide celebration at their opponents' turf this season alone.
Both Haaland and Foden did the celebration last month, with Hemp and Khadija Shaw replicating it after scoring over the weekend.

"We’re not even celebrating goals anymore; it’s now celebrations. How the mighty have fallen."

"Making a celebration comp at your rival ground might be one of the most disrespectful things I’ve ever seen."
City Women's win took them to 13 points in 3rd place, one point ahead of their cross-city rivals.
United W concede comical goal
Sports Brief also reported that Manchester United’s disastrous ways have spread to the Women’s Super League. One of the goals they conceded in the Manchester Derby was comical, sharing similarities to Harry Maguire and David de Gea’s traumatic backline link-ups in the past on the men’s side.
The costly blunder happened in the 55th minute with Manchester City leading 2-1. United defender Maya Le Tissier delivered a poor back-pass to goalkeeper Mary Earps, who had to rush with her clearance with City forward Bunny Shaw charging in.
