Yves Bissouma has opened up on his memorable encounter with Liverpool legends Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
The Mali midfielder first faced Mane and Salah in a Premier League game during his time with Brighton and Hove Albion.
Bissouma, who now plies his trade with Tottenham Hotspur, had moved to England from French Ligue 1 side Lille in 2018.
According to Bissouma, it was a surreal moment playing against his idols, whom he could only watch on TV while in France.
“During that match I came out of the locker room and I saw Van Dijk, I saw Mane, I saw Salah. These were the guys I saw on TV when I was in France, and now I was in the same tunnel going up against them. It was like a dream, you know what I mean? Mane and Salah were my idols, and I just thought ‘woah’. My heart was beating fast," he told Tottenham Hotspur's YouTube Channel.
Following an impressive four-year spell at Brighton, he earned a move to North London, signing a long-term deal with Tottenham, as reported by Sky Sports.
Bissouma has been a key figure for the club since the arrival of new manager Ange Postecoglu.
