Liverpool ace Dominik Szoboszlai scored an incredible solo goal for his nation Hungary as they secured Euro 2024 qualification with a 3-1 win over Montenegro on Sunday, November 19.
Szoboszlai joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig for £60m and has integrated seamlessly into Jurgen Klopp’s team.
His energetic displays and ability to boss the midfield has already made him a fan favourite at Anfield, and he seems to have taken his form on the international stage.
On Sunday, he was in inspired form as he bagged two goals in the win over Montenegro, as Hungary opted to end their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign on a high despite already booking a place in the tournament on Thursday.
Montenegro took a shock lead at the Puskas Arena, as Slobodan Rubezic stunned the home side.
But Szoboszlai turned the game on its head with two goals in the second half, with one of his strikes exhibiting an unknown skill he has in his locker.
The midfielder picked the ball on the right wing, cut inside and beat two defenders before hitting an unstoppable shot past goalkeeper Milan Mijatovic.
As reported on SportBible, he made it 2-1 after latching onto a through ball before neatly finishing off Hungary’s attacking move.
Deep in injury time, Adam Nagy scored Hungary’s third to secure an emphatic victory to ensure the nation finished top of Group G, ahead of Serbia who also qualified thanks to a 2-2 draw against Bulgaria.
