Cole Palmer has opened up on the incident involving himself and his former teammates during the 4-4 draw between Manchester City and Chelsea on Sunday.
Palmer faced his former side for the first time and was decisive in securing a draw for his new team with his penalty in the additional minutes, after Ruben Dias fouled Armando Broja.
He was caught peeping into City's huddle before a free kick in a dangerous position before Dias quickly sniffed him out and Erling Haaland laughingly pushed him away.
Per Chelsea's statement, Palmer received his first call-up to the England national team after the game, admitting he initially thought the invitation text was a blag.
