In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Oshoala met a lovely cross from Caroline Graham Hansen with a lovely acrobatic kick.

Meanwhile, in an explosive start to the game, Alexia Putellas opened the scoring after just 15 minutes before adding her second six minutes to half-time.

Aitana Bonmati extended the advantage right at the stroke of half-time as Barcelona Femini cruised to a commanding lead before the break.

After the break, Bonmati netted her second of the game before Oshoala put the icing on the cake with her spectacular strike, as reported by the BBC.

Barcelona Femini sits at the top of Group A after the first round of games.

Oshoala leads CAF Women's POTY nominations

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Banyana Banyana forward Thembi Kgatlana and Nigerian internationals Chiamaka Nnadozie, and Asisat Oshoala have all been nominated for the 2023 Africa Women's Player of the Year award.

The trio are joined by 27 other women players for the CAF award, which is currently held by Barcelona Femeni striker Oshoala.

The Nigerian international is also one of the favourites to win the 2023 edition due to her performance with the Catalans.

Oshoala spotted speaking fluent Spanish

Sports Brief also reported that Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala spoke Spanish with ease during Barcelona Femini's victory parade.

The Barcelona Femini attacker has been in Spain since 2019, playing a pivotal role in the success of the Spanish giants.

However, not many Nigerian football fans believed she was as good on the pitch as she is with her linguistic skills.
