Real Madrid warned why signing Kylian Mbappe could be a bad idea
FootballThomas Tuchel Playfully Pledges To Bring Mbappe to Bayern Munich After Real Madrid Snub
- Kylian Mbappe has been one of the most coveted players in the world for a while now
- He has constantly been linked with a move to Real Madrid
- But Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is ready to steal a march on Los Blancos to reunite with his former star
Thomas Tuchel is enthusiastic about possibly reuniting with Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe at Bayern Munich next season.
Mbappe's current contract with PSG expires next summer, and with a renewal unlikely in the foreseeable future, the Frenchman could leave the Ligue 1 champions as a free agent.
While Kylian's future destination remains uncertain, his former coach at PSG, Tuchel, has playfully suggested his interest in bringing the prolific forward to the German Bundesliga.
Despite Real Madrid being frequently mentioned as the most probable next destination for Mbappe, Tuchel has humorously stated his readiness to convince the player to consider a move to the Allianz Arena instead.
"Mbappe free next year? Yes, He will play for us. Kylian is Kylian. He is very intelligent. We had a good relationship. If he wants to come to Bayern, I will go and get him myself. When he wants something, he gets it," the Bayern boss told Canal+ as cited by GOAL.
The 24-year-old has long been a target for Real Madrid, with negotiations reportedly close in the past. However, Mbappe surprised many by opting to extend his contract with PSG in 2022.
As reported by the Spanish publication CadenaSER via Football Espana, Los Merengues have decided to end their pursuit of the 2018 World Cup winner, potentially opening the door for Bayern Munich, who have already added prolific Englishman Harry Kane to their roster this summer.

In June, Mbappe informed PSG that he had no plans to renew his existing contract, set to expire next summer.
