Madrid quickly took charge of the match following a superb Dani Carvajal goal in the third minute. Vinicius Junior made his mark late in the first half to give Carlo Ancelotti's men a solid 2-0 lead at the break.

Vinicius' goal came following a great cross from his compatriot Rodrygo. He awkwardly chested to the back of the net before pulling off the 'Calma' Calma' celebration.

He pointed to his chest before assuring Real Madrid fans that Valencia would be beaten. Ronaldo debuted that celebration on April 21, 2012, during an El Clasico clash.

Vinicius Junior has a history with Valencia. The Brazilian received racist abuse from some of their fans, an incident that caused worldwide uproar, per Sky Sports. So he had a bone to pick with Los Che.

Real Madrid scored three more goals in the second half, and it came from Vinicius, again, and Rodrygo, who scored a brace.

Puyol questions Vinicius attitude

Barcelona legend Carles Puyol recently had some words for Vinicius. He lauded the Brazilian but suggested he needed an attitude change to get more recognition, as Sports Brief earlier reported.

The 23-year-old has grabbed headlines in Spain in the last few months due to his altercations with opposition players and fans.

Some have accused him of being overly dramatic with his on-pitch antics., some of which have attracted racist abuse from opposition fans.
