- Madrid's 5-1 win maintains their second spot on the league table, just two points adrift of Girona, who secured a win against Rayo Vallecano
Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes continued his recent goal-scoring streak while paying homage to Cristiano Ronaldo on Saturday, November 11.
The 22-year-old, who recently signed a long-term contract extension with Los Blancos, found the net in consecutive games for the first time this season.
Rodrygo secured a brace and contributed two assists in an impressive 5-1 victory over Valencia at the Bernabeu, allowing Madrid to stay in contention with surprise La Liga leaders Girona, as cited by BBC.
His Brazilian compatriot, Vinicius Junior, also scored twice, while Dani Carvajal added another solitary strike, securing a commanding win for Carlo Ancelotti's side heading into the international break.
While the crowd of over 72,000 enjoyed the goal fest, Rodrygo took the opportunity to offer the Madrid supporters a nostalgic reminder of the club's all-time leading scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo.
In celebration of one of his goals, the wide forward opted to perform Ronaldo's iconic 'Siuu' celebration, a gesture first showcased at the very stadium.

According to Eurosport, Hugo Duro managed to score a late consolation for Valencia with just two minutes left on the clock, tapping in the ball from Hugo Gonzalez's cross.
However, this goal had little impact on the overall outcome, as Madrid secured their fourth victory in five games across all competitions.
