Italian giants Inter Milan have shown interest in Ivory Coast youngster Karim Konate ahead of the winter transfer window.
The teen sensation has been on the list of several clubs in Europe following a blistering start to life in the Austrian Bundesliga with Red Bull Salzburg.
The Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target has netted eight goals in 13 league games and two in the OFB Cup.
Inter Milan Chief Executive Officer Beppe Moratta has disclosed the club's desire to sign the striker.
“We’re fans of Konate," he told FC Inter News, as quoted by sempreinter.com.
“But we’re not the only team with an interest in him,” he added.
The Nerazurris will face competition from London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham as well as Crystal Palace and West Ham United. Moratta is aware of the challenge facing the UEFA Champions League finalist.
“We have a budget that allows us to respect certain objectives,” he continued.
“Getting out of the group is one of those objectives. We have to look at the sporting side but also at the financial side. We’re very happy with how things have been going in this group,” he added.
At just 19, Konate has already made eight appearances for the Elephants of Ivory Coast, per transfermarkt.
