Inter Milan Chief Executive Officer Beppe Moratta has disclosed the club's desire to sign the striker.

“We’re fans of Konate," he told FC Inter News, as quoted by sempreinter.com.
“But we’re not the only team with an interest in him,” he added.

The Nerazurris will face competition from London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham as well as Crystal Palace and West Ham United. Moratta is aware of the challenge facing the UEFA Champions League finalist.

“We have a budget that allows us to respect certain objectives,” he continued.
“Getting out of the group is one of those objectives. We have to look at the sporting side but also at the financial side. We’re very happy with how things have been going in this group,” he added.

At just 19, Konate has already made eight appearances for the Elephants of Ivory Coast, per transfermarkt.

Thuram has already netted five goals for the Nerazurris, with important strikes against Benfica and AS Roma proving crucial.

Martinez stars in Inter win against Atalanta

Sports Brief also reported that Lautaro Martinez scored the winning goal as Serie A leaders Inter Milan edged Atalanta 2-1 away in a rain-lashed slog in Bergamo on Saturday.

Inter are now five points clear of Juventus and six ahead of Milan after showing relentless spirit despite the conditions playing havoc with the run of the ball.

The away side suffered an early blow when French central defender Benjamin Pavard limped off in the first half.
