Former Italy forward Christian Vieri has been left impressed with the performances of French striker Marcus Thuram following his arrival in the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old has immediately won the hearts of fans and former club players with his outstanding displays for the outfit.
Thuram has already netted five goals for the Nerazurris, with important strikes against Benfica and AS Roma proving crucial.
Vieri sees similarities between the son of former France defender Lilian Thuram and legendary Cameroon and Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o.
“I knew Thuram was good, but I had heard he didn’t score many goals," he told FC Inter News, as quoted by sempreinter.com. “I went to see him live because you can’t see anything on television," he added.
“You see him live. He plays with his teammates. He’s good technically. He plays one-twos and scores goals.”
Vieri went on to praise the directors of Inter Milan for securing the services of the Frenchman for free in the summer transfer window.
“The club's directors deserve great credit for pulling off the signing,” Vieri said.
“I don’t always like comparisons; everyone has their own characteristics. But he’s at Eto'o's level.
“He plays for Lautaro. It was the same way with Lukaku as well. There’s no envy; goals are always scored.”
Thuram joined the Italian giants from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer transfer window, as reported by france24.com.
