Pitso Mosimane: UAE Club Part Ways With South African Manager Amid Links to Kaizer Chiefs

United Arab Emirates club Al Wahda have parted ways with South African manager, Pitso Mosimane. Arno Buitenweg will take over as the first team coach of the Abu Dhabi-based side.

The UAE Pro League side confirmed the decision to let the former Mamelodi Sundowns manager leave on Friday, November 10.

There have been rumours about the South African manager being relieved of his duties with the UAE side due to their recent performances in the league.

According to an official statement by the club, according to FARPost, Arno Buitenweg will take over from the South African manager.

"Al-Wahda terminates its contract with Pitso Mosimane by mutual consent," the club stated.
"Al Wahda Football Club Company announces that it has reached an agreement with South African technical director Pitso Mosimane to terminate the contract by mutual consent between the two parties.
"The management of Al Wahda Football Club Company decided to appoint Mr. Arno Buitenweg as coach of the first team during the coming period, wishing him success."

Recall that Mosimane was appointed as Al Wahda coach on June 18, and won six games out of 10, losing the remaining four.

The former Al Ahly head coach has been linked with a return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL), with Kaizer Chiefs seeking for a permanent replacement for Molefi Ntseki.

There were also rumours that Zamalek were interested in bringing him back to the Egyptian Premier League.

Zamalek address Pitso Mosimane rumours

Sports Brief earlier reported on Zamalek addressing rumours linking Mosimane to the club amid a rumoured return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

The Egyptian side were struggling under their former coach, Juan Carlos Osorio, and they were rumoured to be interested in bringing Mosimane back to the country's top-flight league.
