- United's chances of qualifying for the next round are now dangerously low, with two games to go
A painful video of a shattered Bruno Fernandes after Manchester United's loss to FC Copenhagen on November 8 has surfaced online.
Manchester United lost 4-3 to the Danish side to leave their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League round of 16 in dire jeopardy.
Rasmus Hojlund scored twice on either side of a controversial Marcus Rashford red card. Copenhagen responded with two goals of their own just before the halftime break.
Fernandes then put Erik ten Hag's side ahead from the spot before the Danes fought back once again, scoring twice to take themselves into second place behind Bayern Munich.
Bruno Fernandes' reaction after the game
After the game, Fernandes was spotted seated in what looked like a stairway, hands in his head as he pondered on the game that was and its consequences.
Manchester United's season
The result leaves United in last place with only four points, one behind both Copenhagen and Galatasaray. Table toppers Bayern Munich have already sealed qualification.
Fernandes has four goals and three assists in 16 appearances this season, according to Transfermarkt.
Ten Hag has failed to register consistent results that saw him win the Carabao Cup and finish in third place last season.
They have already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup, leaving the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League as the only viable routes to silverware this season. They play Luton Town on November 11, looking to build on their last Premier League win against Fulham.
