- The summer signing was only booked for an offence Marcus Rashford got sent off for
- Fans have reacted to the glaring inconsistencies in the application of the game's laws
The application of the Video Assistant Referee(VAR) has come under focus again - this time in the UEFA competitions following game week four matches in both the Champions League and Europa League.
Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo was lucky to escape a red card for a studs-up stamp on Thijs Dallinga when his side faced Toulouse on November 9.
The Japanese international was only booked for the incident before watching his side fall to a shock 3-2 result in France.

The Danish side then made their numerical advantage count by beating Erik ten Hag's charges 4-3 to boost their hopes of progression to the next round.

Fans have, however, called the inconsistency in the application of the rules of the game. Social media users vented their frustrations, claiming that if Rashford's offence was a red card, then Endo needed to walk as well.
