Former Ghana midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Regiatta Affua Arthur at a plus ceremony in Accra.
The couple, who have been dating for some time, agreed to settle as husband and wife as they look to build a family together. Friends, family, and former teammates graced the occasion.
The 32-year-old and his wife shared a lovely moment in photos and videos on social media.
Agyemang-Badu, who is yet to hang up his boots, announced his retirement from international football in 2022 following a long absence from the national team.
The ex-Udinese star returned to Ghana in 2021 after ending his stay in Europe and joined Ghana Premier League outfit, Accra Great Olympics last season.
However, he left after just a season and is currently unattached.
During his time abroad, Agyemang-Badu featured for Italian sides, Udinese and Hellas Verona before later playing for Qingdao FC and Bursaspor, per Transfermarkt.
Agyemang-Badu is celebrated in Ghana for scoring the winning penalty at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup final against Brazil in 2009.
Agyemang-Badu shares pre-wedding photos
Sports Brief previously reported on Agyemang-Badu being set to marry his long-time girlfriend, Affua Arthur.
The 32-year-old shared the pre-wedding photos online, indicating his readiness to settle down with his lover.
The date and location had not been announced at that time but the U20 World Cup winner was off the market.
Agyemang-Badu compares Issahaku to Abedi Pele
Sports Brief also reported on former Ghana star, Agyemang-Badu praising Abdul Fatawu Issahaku as the country's new Abedi Pele.
The ex-Black Star saw similarities in the style of play between the teenager and the legend, who also burst onto the scene early on.
In an interview with Starr FM at the time, the China-based midfield powerhouse explained that Fatawu is Ghana's 'next big thing'.
