PSG players, led by France captain Kylian Mbappe, mobbed the youngster after news broke that he had been called up to the French national team.

Zaire-Emery has been a key player for PSG under Luis Enrique this season and has produced eye-catching performances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

He has started 13 games this season, and the call-up comes at a crucial time, per Transfermarkt. France are getting ready for Euro 2024, and he could solidify a spot in the team under Didier Deschamps.

"Given what he's achieved since the last camp, he's here with us," said Deschamps. "He has all the qualities to be at the very highest level. There's a lot of competition in his position. If he earns his first cap, he will become the third-youngest player to represent France after Julien Verbrugghe (16 years, ten months, and six days in 1906) and Maurice Gastiger (17 years, four months, and five days in 1914).

France have already qualified for the tournament, so it will be a great opportunity for the youngster to impress the boss.
