The Rockets' attacker posted an update on Instagram, showing the progress he is making in his recovery from injury.

Parker was severely hurt by Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Bongani Zungu in TS Galaxy's first-round Carling Knockout Cup defeat of Masandawana.

At 37, many expected the injury to send Parker into early retirement but the weight-lifting, band-stretching, and perfectly balanced goal-scorer has other plans.

Support has come from all corners, as everyone wants to see The Hond back on the football field. Instagram users cheered Parker on, taking inspiration from his attitude.

Mokwena defends Zungu over Parker tackle

Sports Brief recently reported on Rhulani Mokwena's comments after Bernard Parker's injury.

The Sundowns coach did not condone the tackle but claimed fans' reactions were disappointing.

Mokwena relayed how Zungu, who has since apologised to Parker, was 'abused' on social media.
