Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has delivered worrying news about two players ahead of the upcoming busy schedule.
The Red Devils have struggled to hit the ground running this season, with ten Hag's charges unable to maintain consistency across competitions.
According to the Daily Star, repeated injuries to key players have impacted their form and quest for positive results.
A host of players have endured lengthy spells on the sidelines, with the likes of Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, and Lisandro Martinez among them.
Both Martinez and Malacia have hardly featured this season, with ten Hag revealing that the duo will be joined by Casemiro on the treatment table.
When will Casemiro return to action?
Speaking ahead of Man United's Champions League clash against FC Copenhagen, the Dutchman delivered a worrying update on Casemiro and Martinez, saying:
"I have some time schedules, yeah, but it's always difficult to predict that because they can get setbacks during the rehab period so I'm always holding back a little bit on some issues," Metro UK quoted him as saying.
"I expect some back but Casemiro and Martinez are really strong injuries and I don't expect them back before Christmas. It's several weeks," he added.
Casemiro skippered the United side that lost 3-0 to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup.
