Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has disclosed that only one club wanted to sign him during his illustrious 20-year career at Old Trafford.
Scholes is widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time, having formed an important part of Sir Alex Ferguson's successful reign at the Theatre of Dreams.
The legendary midfielder made his United debut in 1994 against Port Vale in the Football League Cup.
According to Sportbible, he went on to amass over 700 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils until his retirement in 2013.
During that period, he won 25 major trophies with the English giants, including 11 Premier League titles and two Champions League crowns.
Only Inter showed interest in Scholes
Despite establishing himself as one of Europe's most respected players, Scholes only managed to court transfer interest from only one club.
According to the former England international, only Serie A giants Inter Milan showed interest in his services but transfer talks never saw the light of the day.
"I was never ever made aware of any team coming in for me but I did have one phone call off Bryan Robson's old agent," Scholes disclosed to BBC Radio 5 Live.
"He rang me while we were away at Euro 2000 to ask me if I would be interested in going to Inter Milan but that's the only phone call I ever had," he added.
