Ghanaian winger, Kamaldeen Sulemana was in red-hot form for Southampton over the weekend in their English Championship game against Millwall.

The Black Stars forward helped the Saints to a 1-0 victory on the road as the quest for an early return to the Premier League continues.

Ryan Fraser scored the winner in the final minute of the game as Southampton left The Den with all three points.

However, it was the performance of Sulemana that caught the attention of fans following an explosive display down the flanks.

In a video that is trending on social media, he is seen tormenting the full-backs and - in one instance - nutmegging his marker.

Despite missing most of the start of the new season due to injury, Sulemana returned strongly and has since been a key player for the promotion chasers.

Meanwhile, manager Russel Martins is delighted with the team's recent run of form.

"I thought we were great," the coach told Southampton's official website. "First half a lot of control but a bit slow with the ball, the final third didn’t come to enough, we kept turning the ball over, but we limited them to very few problems."

Martins admitted the set pieces were a problem due to Millwall players' size, stature, and prowess.

"They make the game hard for you. They brought real aggression and real energy in the first 20 minutes. I thought we rode that out quite well and then got control of the game without threatening or creating too much."

Sulemana has made 10 appearances and delivered three assists in the English Championship this season.

Issahaku consoles Sulemana after Leicester game

Sports Brief previously reported on Leicester City winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku consoling Sulemana after his carding as Southampton lost at home.

The Ghanaian international was making a return to the Championship team after recovering from an injury that kept him out since the start of the season.

The Southampton star's first game of the campaign ended with Sulemana being shown a straight red card following a tackle on Leicester's James Justin.
