- Haaland netted a brace to inspire his side to victory, with Foden also getting his name on the scoresheet
Manchester City hotshot, Erling Haaland could hardly hide his bemusement after a Young Boys player asked for his shirt during their Champions League clash on Tuesday night.
Haaland, who was a doubt for the tie after he picked up a knock in City's 6-1 win over Bournemouth last weekend, was part of the starting XI in the European clash.
According to the BBC, the Norwegian striker scored a brace to inspire the English giants to a 3-0 victory over the Swiss side at the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland opened the scoring for the hosts from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute before Phil Foden doubled the advantage on the stroke of the first half.
The youngster completed his brace in the 51st minute as things went from bad to worse for the visitors after Sandro Lauper was sent off in the 53rd minute.
Mohamed Ali Camara asks for Haaland's shirt
With Young Boys trailing 2-0 at the break, defender Mohamed Ali Camara made the surprising move of asking for Haaland's shirt.
The Mirror reports that Camara decided to take his chances by asking Haaland for his shirt, perhaps out of the fear he would not return to the pitch given City had taken a commanding lead.
Camara's request left the Norwegian bemused as he appeared to shake his head before he agreed to the request, handing his jersey to the Guinean international.
