  • Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne could be 'tempted' to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr

  • The Belgian attacker is currently sidelined for the Premier League champions after picking up a hamstring injury

Transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano has shared a significant update regarding the potential transfer of Kevin De Bruyne to the Saudi Pro League.

The 2023-2024 transfer window witnessed a remarkable shift, with clubs from the Saudi League emerging as appealing destinations for some of football's biggest names.

Fueled by substantial financial backing, the league's prominent clubs, including Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, and Al-Hilal, led the charge in securing high-profile signings like Karim Benzema, Neymar Jr., and Sadio Mane.

This trend shows no signs of slowing down, as there have been persistent rumours linking Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne with potential moves to the region.

While Salah's potential destination is rumoured to be Al-Ittihad, De Bruyne, who is currently recovering from a hamstring injury, has reportedly attracted interest from Al-Nassr, a club that already boasts Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Aymeric Laporte on their roster.

According to a report from the Sun, a source informed Football Insider about the possibility of De Bruyne receiving a lucrative contract offer, described as "jaw-dropping".

The report indicates that despite De Bruyne's satisfaction at Manchester City, the substantial financial offerings could lure him into contemplating a move.

Providing insights on the possible transfer, the well-informed "Here We Go" expert implied that while the deal might seem improbable, the Saudi clubs are determined to persist in their pursuit of acquiring De Bruyne.

"Based on what I saw and what I learned, Saudi Arabia does not give up trying with a specific player when he refuses," Romano said, as cited by The Nassr Zone.
"I do not rule out that Saudi Arabia will try to sign Kevin De Bruyne next summer."
