FootballLionel Messi: Inter Miami Forward Graces Maluma Concert After Winning Another Ballon d’Or
- Lionel Messi was spotted at a Maluma concert in Miami
- He recently won a record-extending eighth Ballon d'Or
- Messi is currently on holiday after Inter Miami's failure to make it to the playoffs
Lionel Messi has always gone about his business on the pitch silently but with very loud results. It is a business that has seen him become one of the best-ever players to ever step on a football pitch.
He rarely attends social events and when he does, his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo and their three sons are always in tow.
However, the Inter Miami forward went a little bit off script on Saturday, November 4, as he was spotted enjoying Maluma's concert at the Kaseya Centre in Miami.
Messi appeared to be in what looked like a private box as he rapped his fingers on a metal railing, seemingly enjoying the performance. He occasionally waved to the fans who spotted him as he continued to enjoy his post-season holiday.
Who is Maluma?
Maluma is a 29-year-old Colombian singer who is known for hits like Chantanje and Felices Los 4.” He recently revealed that he is set to become a parent with his girlfriend, Susan Gomez, as quoted by Hola.
Messi recently won his eighth Ballon d'Or at the 2023 award ceremony in Paris on October 30. His World Cup win with Argentina last year helped him pip Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe to the award.
The 36-year-old will return to action later this month when Argentina play Uruguay and Brazil.
Lionel Messi pre-empts his retirement
Sports Brief has also reported that Messi has painted a sad picture of how his life in retirement would look like. At 36 years old, Messi is in the twilight of his career; that has been more than impressive, to say the least.
The former Barcelona captain has already ruled out a possible return to the European leagues. He also remained coy on whether he will lead Argentina's World Cup defence in 2026.
Speaking in his Apple documentary Messi meets America, the father of three hinted at never being able to fully get satisfied again after enjoying football his whole life.
